Changing pharmacies without losing track of your requests
Confirm which pharmacy is responsible for each outstanding request before switching. Keep prescription arrangements, active orders and your saved pharmacy preference separate.
Finish the handover conversation
Ask the original pharmacy about any order already in progress and contact the new pharmacy about what it needs. Do not assume that changing an account preference cancels an order, transfers a paper script or gives access to an Active Script List.
Avoid double requests
Write down which pharmacy is handling which item and when you last spoke. If you have submitted to the wrong destination, contact that pharmacy promptly. Wait for clear instructions before submitting the same request again elsewhere.
Your checklist
- Check outstanding orders.
- Discuss prescription arrangements with both pharmacies.
- Update preferences only after confirming your choice.
A common question
Does a preferred pharmacy setting transfer my prescriptions?
No. Confirm prescription access or transfer arrangements directly with the pharmacies.
